Argentas is a musical project led by saxophonist, composer, and arranger Yamile Burich, who presents and directs this trio formed with Lara Fichera on double bass and vocals, and Ornella Contreras on piano. For this show, guests Cuki López on drums and Juana Gramigna on electric bass join the group, completing the project's rhythm section. Formed in 2024, the group performs original compositions by Burich, as well as the trio's own works and a selection of classics from the Argentine repertoire approached from a contemporary jazz perspective. Their work combines a creative and fresh approach with a strong identity, generating unique versions of Argentine folk songs, boleros, tangos, and jazz standards. The repertoire includes both instrumental and vocal pieces, with arrangements that revalue the work of artists such as Cuchi Leguizamón, María Elena Walsh, and Ariel Ramírez, among others, inviting you to rediscover these classics from an innovative perspective. In March 2025, Argentas recorded their debut album at Estudio ION, currently being mixed and mastered for its upcoming release.
