Commodore is a group formed around 2008, composed of four members with distinguished individual musical careers: Andrés Pellican (bass), Tomás Babjaczuk (drums), Álvaro Torres (keyboards), and Leo Tegli (guitars). The compositions emerge from the inspiration of each member and are then developed collectively. Their music is oriented toward jazz rock, fused with South American folklore and other genres.
However, what distinguishes the group is their improvisation on these compositions. To date, Commodore has independently released three physical albums: Commodore (2010), Un Lugar (2014), and Enero (2016), and three digital albums: Cuatro (2016), Inercia (2018), and Commodore En Vivo (2022). In addition to performing at prominent venues in Buenos Aires, Commodore has participated in various national and international jazz festivals. Their seventh album, "Desde el Lado Sur," is scheduled for release in 2025.
